Calcite 1/2 cubic foot Box (CAL-50-BOX)
Product Description
1/2 cubic foot. Low pH, Acidic water slowly dissolves Calcite media, to help raise the pH from 5.0 to 7.0. As the Calcite media dissolves, it will also increase the hardness of your water. (I.E. If your pH level is 6.0, the Calcite media will increase your water hardness 4 - 5 grains per gallon, as it raises the pH level to 7.0). Calcite does not overcorrect pH under normal conditions, and should be backwashed on a regular basis. SFR will be approx 6 GPM Sq/Ft. You will also need to replenish the media, periodically (approximately every 12-18 months), as it slowly dissolves Calcite Specifications
