What's the Difference between the Models?
We offer the 5600, 2510, 7000 and 2750 models for single tank Water Softeners and the 9000 model for twin tank Water Softeners.
Fleck 5600, 2510, 7000 and 2750 Models (Single Tank Water Softeners)
Single tank Water Softeners are the most common application. They include a single resin tank with the Fleck 5600, 2510, 7000 or 2750 control valve and a separate brine tank. There are a few differences between the 5600, 2510, 7000 and the 2750 models:
All four models are very good valves! The 5600 has been around since 1979 and is very dependable. The 2510, 7000 and 2750 are also great valves that will last for many years of trouble free operation.
Fleck 9000 Model (Twin Tank Water Softeners)
The 9000 model controls a twin resin tank system and also has a third, separate brine tank. Twin tank systems soften your water using one of the two twin tanks at a time. When the first tank is being regenerated, the second tank takes over the softening process. This way, you'll never be without soft water even during the regeneration period!
The 9000 control valve is available in 3/4" or 1" models. The 3/4" model has 3/4" or 1" connections available using either a yoke or bypass valve. The 1" model must be directly plumbed to which means if you require a bypass of the system, it must be accomplished in your plumbing configuration.
